Almost everybody I talked to in Huddersfield asked “How did you even find out about Huddersfield?”I always showed them this Pellicle article on my phone.Unfortunately, it was closed the day I went – as you can tell from the article, it’s run by two partners, and they had a family emergency to attend to that day.But my god did I fall in love with Huddersfield. It really threads the needle between being a small city and a large village, and everybody I talked to, from the old Yorkshiremen whose accents I couldn’t understand to the young bartenders who knew what Galaxy and Sabro hops were, were all so warm and gracious. I need to spend like a week in this town in a future trip.@ Kwas / Wine Shop and Bar

A 3.8% single-hopped beer is probably a bit boring and drinks like hop tea, right?NOPE. Everybody knows the English can make a low ABV malty beer taste good, but as I discovered time and time again on this trip they can do the same with a hoppy beer using modern sexy hops. The beer on the right was a serious revelation for me.@ The Corner Huddersfield
